Welcome to the ISCA [1] student website. This website is developed and maintained by ISCA's Student Advisory Committee [2] (ISCA-SAC), which was set up by the ISCA Board in order to support expanding ISCA's services to its student members. The aim of this website is to bring together students and senior researchers in the fields of speech, speech communication and speech technology, and to keep them informed about past, on-going and future activities in these fields. We hope that this website will function as a platform through which students and seniors can organize themselves in working groups with other researchers from around the world. These working groups will enable students and senior researchers with common interests to share ideas about on-going and future research. In addition, we hope that this website will become a repository with useful information for Master's and Ph.D. students (in the form of lists of speech labs, text books, universities running specific courses...). We have made a first attempt to implement a supportive infrastructure in our Resources [3] section. We hope that you will help us keeping the contents of this section up to date. ISCA's Student Advisory Committee [4] will continue updating this website according to its visitors' needs and requests. The website is aimed at being a convenient tool for as many researchers as possible, so if you feel you can contribute to this website, or if you have any general requests or remarks about this website, you are kindly invited to inform us through our contact form [5]. In order to reach as large a community as possible, we have made most of the information on this website accessible to all. If you would like to contribute to our discussion forums [6] or if you would like to post information in our Resources [7] section, we would like you to register [8] first. Since this website will be under permanent development, it may be worth checking regularly for updates. ISCA members will be informed about major updates through the ISCApad. |
