At http://isca-students.org/forums/research [1] there are instruction about how to use the forum, such as, "If you would like to share a contribution the content of which does not fit in one of the forums currently available, please contact us, specify the requested forum name and briefly explain why you want us to open the requested forum for you."
Would it be possible to add something like "Related discussions also take place on comp.speech.research [2] and comp.ai.nat-lang [3],
among other forums?"
I often post on comp.speech.research and it would be awkward for me to post the same questions here as well, and a waste of time for people who see the same question both times.
An alternative, which I think it would be even better, would be to add an "Online discussion forums" section to the Resources sidebar on the left-hand side of the page, which could list those groups and others. Currently some online forums are listed under Organizations, but when I read the word "Organizations" I think of the ACL, IEEE, and so on, not discussion forums.
Thanks,
David
PS Thanks for creating the Acoustics category! I am very busy this week but I hope to submit to that category soon.
