At http://isca-students.org/forums/research there are instruction about how to use the forum, such as, "If you would like to share a contribution the content of which does not fit in one of the forums currently available, please contact us, specify the requested forum name and briefly explain why you want us to open the requested forum for you." Would it be possible to add something like "Related discussions also take place on comp.speech.research and comp.ai.nat-lang, I often post on comp.speech.research and it would be awkward for me to post the same questions here as well, and a waste of time for people who see the same question both times. An alternative, which I think it would be even better, would be to add an "Online discussion forums" section to the Resources sidebar on the left-hand side of the page, which could list those groups and others. Currently some online forums are listed under Organizations, but when I read the word "Organizations" I think of the ACL, IEEE, and so on, not discussion forums. Thanks, PS Thanks for creating the Acoustics category! I am very busy this week but I hope to submit to that category soon. ( categories: Suggestions )
Thanks, Christophe. Could someone please change the keyword for comp.ai.nat-lang to "natural language processing"? When I created the entry for comp.ai.nat-lang I didn't know about the "natural language processing" keyword (perhaps it didn't exist yet). |

Hi David,
Thanks for your suggestion. I'm sure people will benefit from an extensive list of external discussion forums on our website. Therefore, I added a link to External Forums under Forums on the left hand side of the page. Please feel free to update the list with as many interesting/useful forums as possible. If you need any further assistance, if you would like me to change the list of research keywords, or if you have any further requests whatsoever, just let us know.
Cheers,
Christophe.
