The International Congress of Phonetic Sciences is in Germany for a second time, forty three years after the fifth Congress, in Münster, Westphalia. ICPhS 2007 Germany will take place on the campus of the Saarland University, Saarbrücken, from Sunday 5th August (registration and informal reception) till Friday 10th August, 2007.
The town of Saarbrücken has been chosen as representative of the German consortium hosting the conference, both because its university has a degree course in Phonetics and because of its central location in Europe. We hope that this will contribute to the Congress having as much a European as a German atmosphere.
