Drive innovation in unit selection-based TTS: (preparation of text material for recordings, unit database creation, run-time unit selection algorithm, size and performance optimization, evaluation and quality control). Contribute and implement new algorithms for all levels of TTS. Interface with text analysis and language specialists, software developers, and sales staff. Documentation and communication of results. |
| Qualifications: |
5+ years experience in unit selection and TTS. Outstanding programming skills in unit selection and digital signal processing (e.g. Matlab, C), natural language processing (e.g. Prolog), script writing (e.g. Tcl, Python). Experience in text-to-speech technology and unit selection on low-memory platforms
PhD or MSc in computer science or electrical engineering |
